In many casinos dealer tips are shared by being collected in a bin at every table, then they are all collected, dumped into an unoocupied craps pit, sorted and counter, the dealer are then payed an equal amount, likely by check, and tax is taken out

It all depends on where you work and how fast you can deal a game. Some of these break in casinos also want you to play as a prop player so that can hurt your money making potential. And if the casino you are in still hand shuffles it will cut down on how many hands you can get out per down. The shuffle master machines make the game go a lot smoother and quicker. You will only get minimum wage in any casino as a dealer, so the tip is the life blood for us, if you are using you check for anything else but fun money you are not making enough tips. But I deal poker, and when i first started out it was in San Diego and i could get out 25-30 hands per hour, and i would get a dollar per pot, and 2-5 dollars in a no limit game where the pots can get very big. On Average you can pull down 175-400 a night, it all depends on the action the casino gets. A place like the El cortez only has 3 tables so you may not get as much money, or you may get a table with a bunch of drunk a-hole who don't tip anything. I find the middle limit games tip the best, high limit games you may think you get better money, but most of these players don't tip a lot or at all. At good poker rooms like mgm, Mirage and such you can pull down 225-350 a night.

Dealers in Nevada start near minimum wage. A coworker of mine dealt blackjack 7 years in Nevada before coming to work with the firm, and he started at $6/hour and left at $10.50

The casinos assume you will make tips, not unlike waiting tables in many restaurants.

In the freerolls you have the option to add on more chips for a small fee. I find that doing this gives me a better chance agaist all of the people who do not buy an "add on".
Also, if you just like playing for fun and just want to play for days, just bet really small and it should last you longer.

Yes you can but it's down to the casino to put a tort system in place. As far as I'm aware the casinos in the UK are all accepting tips, the only problem is that the operators are charging around 14% to cover admin fees.

It depends on how good you are. I tip for good service. i used to be a server when I was young and I made between $50 a day to $500 a day depending on how busy and my mood.

It all depends, are you female or male? do you have a good personality and get along with everyone? I have a couple of good freinds who are chip runners, you would be amazed at how terrible some runners are and very slow. Pretty young chip runners tend to make a little more but both my friends do about the same but are very prompt. I.d say about half yoyr customers tip and usually when they do ,its usually aboit a buck. Alot of players are superstitious and like to get their chips from a regular chip runner and sometimes you get a bonus if the player has a winning session. So chip runners do OK and much better if they have regular clients and lots of times use that position to get in the door for something better.Food service makes alot more and dealing isnt so bad either. So a graveyard chip runner in a small casino should make between 30-50 bucks a shift, Swing shift runners that are good with regular customers can make 100+ like my friends.

good luck in what you do

Advertise and perhaps try to steal a few pots early. Once you're caught, stick to premium hands, but play them aggressively.
